Greetings,
I've been scammed a few times from sites including like (Sc)Amazon (they're the worst), eBay, etc.
One of my most recent is a fake adult store called WildFlowerSale.com (which has since been taken down by yours truly. ;) ).
I purchased an item for $54 USD and the next morning, I noticed 3 charges that were $160 CDN dollars. I never got a confirmation E-mail or anything. It was a site that I have never used before, I assumed it was legit.
I have put in a dispute with my credit card company (which is going out of business). It's a hit or miss, as they look for reasons or make up something to not decide in your favour...
I tried E-mailing WildfFlowerSale, sort of giving them the benefit of the doubt, but they never responded and the E-mail bounced back if I remember correctly. I don't know if I still have the bounced E-mail.
Their E-mail was [email protected].
Going through my credit card statements, I noticed a few things have changed about the purchases, including the date, time, transaction ID and the cents. I don't know if that is normal.
Most of the sites I've been scammed on, don't have PayPal.
I have reported the website to fraud to two places, including the hosting name that the website uses. I looked it who WhoIs.
The site has been taken down. I don't know if that affects my ability to get refunded or not.
I feel glad that I have taken the site down, I wish I could do more.
