Hi guys, just recently I listed my Mother's car on Gumtree, we have to move house the one we are in is no loonger suitable as she needs a mobility scooter. I sold my beloved Clubsport, bought a van and a mobility scooter. To rasie the money to move house I listed my Mum's car for its approx value.

I was pinged by 4 interested parties within minutes of posting, after much to and fro, a snap of phot ID 2 buyers both bid for the car. I took highest bidder, turns out to be scammer, left him hanging and went back to other buyer now also turns out to be scammer as well also left hanging.

It is 10pm AEST i left them both hanging 10 minutes ago... I am desperate to sell this car what the hell am I supposed to do if 2 out of 4 buyers are scammers?

The above email and another with more details was sent by supposedly westpac announcing funds on hold pending release payment which they were asking me to pay!

The first guy used approach name Barry Johson attached to account above 2nd scammer also used supposed paypal emails with a help link to click should the funds not arrive both bank and paypal were checked no money has been received!

The guy that sent the courier details is still waiting for me to pay the courier :D

There's a big racket in Australia using Gumtree sales thats what there is!

4 approaches in 10 minutes after genuinely listing a granny car on gumtree... all scammers... I need to sell the car to move house so my 75 year old Mother can use her mobility scooter I am on a carers pension, she is on a pension we are facing eviction,and now too afraid to use the site you get the best value on, to sell a car i need to sell to make it all happen!

I hate this fucken world!

Heres another one our energy provider setup for direct debit stopped the direct debit after 12 months or so without informing us one day we recieve a bill for 3000 dollars, next week the same bill comes but this time its 6000 dollars i contact the company its now 10,000 and the company is liquidating...

I sign up with a solar energy type group but get an email from the 1st proivider mentioned informing us of their liquidation and selling the accouints on to other provider snad gave us the details of the provider we were supposed to be with...

Months later no bill has come, some time after that I finally find our energy provider while deleting spam its the solar group the one i tried to switch to but now we owe them a thousand dollars because thats how long it took to find them.
